The former president's Granddaughter Receives Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete maintains impressive online presence
The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile backers as she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates multiple golf courses and regularly plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially told me to play and relax," she explained.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on presidential duties, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has played in only three events in 2024 and holds position 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence exposes golf to different demographics, specifically reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
