Paramount Skydance Will Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Report

Paramount Skydance will begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, with the company planning to reveal complete information in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Previous updates stated the firm aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

Until December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not yet commented regarding the report.
