Nearly 90 Flights Connected to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Arrived at or Departed from UK Airfields
Analysis has found that nearly 90 aircraft journeys linked to Jeffrey Epstein are said to have arrived at and departed from British airports, with some reportedly carrying British women who claim they were abused by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Reveal Trail of Movement
The flight logs were part of thousands of court documents and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the past year. The investigation uncovered 87 aircraft movements connected to Epstein – including many that were hitherto undisclosed – landing or taking off from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed “females” were listed among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Notably, 15 of these flights involving the UK happened subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring prostitution from a child.
“This is ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘full-scale UK investigation’ into his activities in the country,” remarked American attorneys representing hundreds of Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Evidence from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. However, that victim has not received any contact by UK authorities, according to her attorney based in Florida.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police indicated they had “not been provided with any new evidence that would support restarting the investigation.” They commented, “If fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, including any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will review it.”
Continuing Document Release and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to release all files held by the US government in relation to Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of papers are projected to be released.
Additionally, a US judge ruled last week that the DOJ could make public case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime confidante, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
