Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

A plane transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft touched down based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has encountered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
